I emptied 1.2 inches from the rain gauge this morning. Not a bad start, especially for my sandy soil.

- I am a 50 something married male and father of two. I have a 20x40 veggie garden and five flower beds. The flower beds are mostly iris and daylillies, but I am always trying to find more perennials that work in my yard. If they add color, attract beneficial or enjoyable wildlife and isn't food for another animal, its a bonus. I have been an organic gardener since 1990.
