Last night I picked wax beans and filled two large Ziploc bags.
I pushed the mulch back along the latest planting of green beans (I had to clear the mulch along the row when I planted them).
And I turned over the onion garden using a shovel to get it ready for planting carrots. Since we haven't had any rain in over a week, it was easy to turn and the soil didn't clump, it just fell apart as a turned the shovel over. I was happy when I saw that there was one earthworm enjoying the organic material although it didn't look very happy being disturbed.
